Our Story

We are 1st Fix Machine Solutions, a unique company specialising in cleaning equipment repair and maintenance.

The Company was formed in January 2014 when Roy Cole, Director and Founder, recognised the cleaning industry would benefit from an independent, reliable and high quality service provider. 1st Fix Machine Solutions Limited is that service company, offering a fast response to our customers. Specialising in strategies to ensure a 1st time fix of machines, our Mobile Service Engineers are trained, equipped and efficient to give the best levels of customer service.

How do we achieve this? Well, firstly our Engineers use technology to the full, ensuring effective communication at all stages of the process. Tablets complete with our modern, proven service software, full drawing access and satellite navigation will give our Engineers the ability to receive full breakdown details, as well as list exactly what they have done, what parts they have fitted, view manufacturers’ drawings and capture a customer signature.

We want to exceed our customers’ expectations and we will achieve this with a world class IT solution, excellent communication and the best Engineers in the field.

Roy's Story

Roy joined the cleaning industry 12 years ago. In October 2006 he started MITIE Equipment Services, an internal division of MITIE Cleaning Services, with full responsibility for the whole business including operations, financial management, business strategy and development. Roy took this division from strength to strength, and by December 2013 the division was turning over £3.3m with 51 staff, of which 40 were engineers on the road. Under Roy’s leadership Equipment Services was offering MITIE’s internal companies national coverage, Retail 1st time fix rates of above 96% and response rates of 24 hours.

He recognised the importance of customer service, effective communication and the critical element; people in achieving customers’ expectations. He was keen to put his knowledge to further use as an independent service provider and it was at this point, 1st Fix Machine Solutions was born.

Ok so maybe the fire is a bit much. But don't panic if your machine breaks! The first thing to do is contact us.

STEP 2

Pick up the phone or drop an email to our office team. Alternatively, use our customer portal to log your case directly onto our system.

STEP 3

Your case is instantly received by an Engineer via our state of the art cloud based service software, complete with all your logged details.

On site repair

STEP 4

Our highly skilled engineer will arrive on site to repair your machine to the 1st fix principles, minimising any downtime.

STEP 5

An engineer’s job sheet detailing the complete repair will be sent to you electronically the same day.

Happiness all round!

Tada! Your machine is repaired within the SLA.
